" For the description and the management of archival documents"

An original idea of the Société d'histoire de La Prairie-de-la-Magdeleine (SHLM), ARCHI-LOG has been developped by INFOKA, in 1995, in a partnership with the SHLM and with the advices from archivists at the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ), the Centre régional d'archives de Lanaudière (CRAL) and the Société d'histoire de la Haute-Yamaska (SHHY).

Since that time, ARCHI-LOG has benefited from numerous upgrades that have added to its performance and that have introduced many new features suggested by users.

For the development of ARCHI-LOG, the Société d'histoire de La Prairie-de-la-Magdeleine (SHLM) received the 1998 annual award of the Association des Archivistes du Québec (AAQ), this price being given to an organization having made a significant contribution to the archival community.

ARCHI-LOG is the first commercial software to offer users the possibility of transferring their data to the internet union database of the Réseau des archives du Québec (RAQ) (RDAQ).

ARCHI-LOG now has more than 120 users located in Quebec, in Ontario and in Europe. Seven schools (including the University of Montreal) use ARCHI-LOG for the formation of their students in archivistics.

The Windows version of ARCHI-LOG, announced during the June 2002 congress of the Association des archivistes du Québec (AAQ), is available since May 2003.
